Rendered entirely in 3D 1-bit graphics, the game looks different to anything you’ve ever played.

Return of the Obra Dinn has an atmosphere unlike any other game. The player investigates the circumstances of the incident, equipped with a magical pocket watch that allows them to see the moment of a person’s death. The ship, the titular Dinn, disappeared for five years before reappearing off the coast of England. Return of the Obra DinnĬreated by one-man game developer Lucas Pope, Return of the Obra Dinn is an atmospheric mystery/puzzle game set aboard a formerly lost trading vessel. Additionally terrifying is the inclusion of a creature that will even follow players on land. Despite being a beautiful game, Subnautica: Below Zero acknowledges the inherent terror of the ocean, providing the player with several horrifying creatures they must learn to avoid if they want to survive the hostile alien planet. Thalassophobia is a type of fear that involves a persistent terror of deep water. Developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, Subnautica: Below Zero offers players challenging survival mechanics and undersea base building. We still have some Xbox Game Pass additions to arrive, not to mention the launch of The Medium, and the Yakuza Remastered Collection joining Xbox Game Pass too.The icy standalone expansion to the original Subnautica, Below Zero offers players a chance to explore the undersea environment of an alien planet. We're now in the last week of the month, but January still has several major offerings which could shake up the next few Gameplay Charts. This week's two disappearances are Rec Room and Star Wars: Squadrons. Skate 3, Madden NFL 20, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III have all hopped up a place, sitting at 37th, 38th, and 39th respectively, while Ghost Recon Breakpoint rounds out the top 40 after joining last weekend's free-to-play games.

Further down, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was boosted last week by its Xbox Series X|S optimisation update, has already dropped five places to 31st. The Overwatch Kanezaka Challenge, which ran for almost two weeks with new rewards and a new deathmatch map, finishes today, so presumably any players who jumped in just for the event are now moving on to something else. Our TA Gameplay Chart shows Overwatch hopping down two places to 17th. Likewise, Ark is at 19th on TA, but doesn't show at all in the top 40 on TT. TA's Gameplay Chart also shows the power of Xbox Game Pass, as aside from Donut County, we see Rainbow Six Siege at 7th on TA as opposed to 16th on TT. Black Ops Cold War is 1st over there, and the top ten is pretty similar, with the most noticeable differences being that Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Cyberpunk 2077 are still in the top ten for PlayStation players, at 7th and 10th respectively, instead of 13th and 14th here on our TA Gameplay Chart. This week's chart does bring us one pretty big change, however: we now also have our new PlayStation Gameplay Chart over on TrueTrophies, so we can take a look at both and compare what everyone's been playing. It is interesting, however, that IO Interactive's Hitman 3, which came out last week, hasn't made an appearance on the chart yet. For details on how the chart is calculated, click here. This latest chart seems pretty steady, presumably as players get stuck into whichever of last year's major releases they picked up over the holiday, or wait for the next big game releases. Here is the top 40 Xbox Gameplay Chart for the week ending January 24th, 2021. Further down, we see Donut County making its first-ever appearance following its addition to Xbox Game Pass, coming in to rest at 29th, with the rest of the top 40 reshuffling to make room. Chart Heidi Nicholas Our latest Xbox Gameplay Chart shows the two most recent Call of Duty games switching places once again, with Modern Warfare back at 1st place.
